Antenna Power Density (APD)
Overview

The Antenna Power Density (APD) program provides simplified procedures for estimating the near field power density of a number of common types of antennas and graphically checking the compliance of systems with different emission exposure standards or user defined limits. The emission exposure standards include EPA, ANSI C95.1-1991, FCC 1.1310, and National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP). The outputs of the program are distance and power density, either in the form of a report or in the form of a graph of power density vs. distance. It also provides the free-space power density at one far-field point.
